We leave the hustle and bustle from Cairo behind us heading towards a small village around 5 hours ride from Cairo.
Enjoy already on the way the greenery along the Nile and the village life around.
You will be staying at a private farm which combines the charme of alternative living with comforts expected from a high quality trip.
Homemade food gives you always enough energy for your daily adventures.
And here there are a lot different things to do:
Either you jump into history by visiting Tell Al Amarna, Tuna el Gebel (the necropolis of Khmun) or Sheikh Abada ( a huge place of Roman ruins and 2 temples of Ramses III).
Amarna is an extensive Egyptian archaeological site that represents the remains of the capital city newly established and built by the Pharaoh Akhenaten of the late Eighteenth Dynasty, and abandoned shortly after his death.
Till our days archeologists worldwide are coming on regular base to know more about history.
Or you start a hike in the surrounding mountains. Under expert guidance you climb nearby heights to look over the landscape. Highlight here is surely a tour of a rock church, which is used to this day by the Copts. A place of stillness that invites you to linger a moment and pause.
But you may walk also along the Nile getting in touch with locals, or doing a Feluka ride in the middle of green fields.
Whereever you go – you will find a lot of unique photo opportunities, interesting spots of history or untouched nature.
