Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar where Muslims fast during day time. It is also called “the Holy month“ because one spiritual meaning tells you that, now the gates of Heaven are open.

For people brought up in the Western world this might sound strange, but maybe you are also a bit curious to experience yourself life and traditions during that days.

We arrange carefully a “taster session”,  a mix of daily life in the mega city of Cairo, flavored with the special atmosphere of Ramadan.

You stay in a cosy hotel in Maadi, a green and quiet area, perfect to refill with new energy after a day or evening of new impressions.

The timing of our program will be adapted to Ramadan-hours, which means, we start early in the morning with our sight-seeing program:

  • The Pyramids

  • The Islamic Museum

  • The Coptic

  • Souk and City Walk

  • Al Azhar Park

  • Felukka Ride

Coming back to the hotel to have siesta (an always busy street with shops and restaurant is close, for those who want to move anyhow).

Around 7 pm every day you will have dinner as an Iftar – the traditional meal for all muslims after a long day of fasting. Everywhere this meal is celebrated in a special way. It is the time to meet and to make friends, to enjoy life.

Immerge into lights, different tastes and vitality before changing the scenery and travelling to a paradise in the Western desert – the Oasis of Siwa.

Siwa is Egypt’s westernmost oasis inhabited by the Berbers who have retained their traditions for centuries. Siwa is known as “Queen of the African oases”. From Siwa come the best dates in the world and there are many stories about special local customs about which we want to tell you.

In addition, Siwa is famous for its lush palms and olive trees as well as the hot ‘Bir Wahet’ spring and the ‘Amun Temple’. Definitely worth a trip!

We try to combine the different charms of Siwa’s sightseeing away from mass tourism.  Get ready to enter another world.
