To a lot of people, the Luxor and Aswan iconic trip is must; but little attention is given to beautiful Nubia. The region of Nubia begins at the point just south of Khartoum in the Sudan where the Blue and White Nile join, and is linked to Egypt by the Nile River, which flows northward through both lands to the Mediterranean.
Nubians origins are considered one of the earliest and most ancient civilizations that still exist to this day. That being said, it’s no surprise that the ancient Nubian language is still preserved.
Nubian traditions are still being passed from one generation to another, from their ancient language (they also speak Arabic) to their family-oriented lifestyle.
It’s all about reconnecting with nature, and there, nature is like no other place.
Nubia – the land of bright colors and friendly people takes the visitor into a world of their own.
One of the world's largest artificial lakes, Lake Nasser is named after the Egyptian President Gamal Abdul Nasser, who is largely responsible for the lake's creation. President Nasser decided to build the Aswan High Dam across the Nile, forming a lake approximately 550 kilometers (340 miles) long.
The lake connects Aswan with Abu Simbel among others.
Our very special cruise will take you to the most remote locations in Nubia. Pharaonic history and culture await you including visits to the Philae Temple, the Ramses Temple and the Nefertari Temple in Abu Simbel, the Kalabsha Temple, Qasr Ibrim, and several others.
The lake is the only place in Egypt where you can still see the Nile crocodile, as its populations have been depleted below the dam and the beautiful desert landscape along the banks offers a perfect opportunity to relax for several days in ancient Nubia.
